We implore President Obama to create legislation requiring members of the congressional committees to have previous education from an accredited university and/or professional experience deemed relevant to the committee that they, the congress member, is selected to join. Prospective members should have peer recommendations as well, in order to secure the best possible individuals. Members of these committees have immense influence on the fields and industries they oversee and thus should have the appropriate knowledge and experience required to make the best decision possible for the American people and for the future of the United States of America.
