Remove congressional pay from the Federal Employment Retirement (FERS) system. Eliminate annual salaries/benefits and restructure pay to only reimburse when congress members are actually in session. Require them to pay into Social Security. Reduce House and Senate Leaders pay to be equivalent GS 14 pay rates. Limit term of service to only 5 years to model Peace Corps position limits.
