Restructure the Disability system (SSDI)

Created by T.R. on March 22, 2016

We are requesting the following changes to be made to the Disability process:
•Eligibility process- It shouldn’t take a year plus to determine eligibility. Once proven eligible, we shouldn’t have to stress each day that at some point it may be decided that we shouldn’t have been approved and required to pay all the money back.
•Physical test’s given are not comparable to everyday life. We may be able to some stretches, bend down ect for a few moments and deal with the repercussions later. This has no comparison to sitting, bending, lifting ect for 6-8 hours a day 5-6 days a week.
•Some of us do not have the funds to spend $1,000’s to see a Dr. –especially to spend all those $’s to be told- there’s nothing that can be done.
•These are just a few among many changes that need to be made.
