I petition that Standardized Testing be limited or elimiated in schools and Education Programs/Curriculium be created that teach basic life skills, how to's, sex education/hygene, consequences for ones actions, safety/self defense, and value of life. Programs that build kids up not pressure them to make the grade.
It is time for schools, parents and teachers to re-evaluate the education system in America and focus on a finding a solution that will help our children be better prepared for life. With the rise in violence & crime in the US we need to create classrooms that will promote security and a desire to learn, promote individuality & creativity and create less pressure. Kids need to learn through play, learn through freedom and be taught it is ok if you don't succeed at first.
