Using such simple methods as YouTube or Google searching for instances of police brutality one may come across countless cases of documented infringement of citizen's rights by law enforcement officials across the country on both the state and federal levels, and those are but a few cases that happened to be caught on camera. This petition is a request for a solution on a federal level from the United States government.
Restrictions need to be put in place that offer more harsh repercussions for officers who disobey their pledge to uphold the law by allowing their emotions to get in the way of doing their job in the correct manner. Closer monitoring of the mental and physical status of all law enforcement officers need to be implemented to better predict and prevent brutal events.
