Restructure the Making Homes Affordable Program to include help for more struggling homeowners.

Created by L.R. on January 23, 2012

The Making Homes Affordable Program is not working for many Americans who are working hard to keep their homes. There were 1.9 million foreclosures in the U.S. in 2011. Many more were delayed due to legal issues. There are millions of hard working Americans who lost jobs and can't meet there high interest mortgage payments. Many of our fellow citizens are falling through the loopholes of the Making Homes Affordable Program. For example, a first mortgage cannot have one spouses name on it and the second mortgage the other spouses name it. Banks often wirte mortgages this way based on the separate income of each spouse. Why not write the Making Homes Affordable Program the same way the banks write their mortgages? Stop banks from taking the homes of hard working American families!
