Restructure OWCP allowing injured federal workers to receive timely treatment and rehab. to escape resulting poverty..

Created by B.C. on April 25, 2013

The Office of Workers Compensation needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. It's truly a living hell. Workers who signed on with TSA were injured on the job at a disproportional rate, having their lives, as well as their family's, turned into extreme poverty. OWCP delayed, refused treatment, doesn't pay bills on time to Drs. and because of this, treatment is refused to workers who could have recovered and returned to work, instead of being warehoused to live on social security and a not even pittance retirement (due to it being a new organization) living at or severely below the poverty level. Compensation or TRUE retraining is needed to help them rebuild their lives so they can care for their families, it will in the long run save the country a lot of money, and is the right thing to do.
