Our education system is failing our children. The broad education that was once a standard has been narrowed down to a few items needed to meet mandatory tests. This does not allow those who require more assistance or an alternate learning style an opportunity to succeed. Children are not allowed to bring books home anymore because the school districts do not have any allocated funds to purchase new ones. Schools are closing, teachers have been laid off, and students are falling through the cracks. Please feel free to read through any discussion board to view my point about educational decline. Our children are being deprived of a well-rounded education, and the issue needs to be corrected immediately.
