Restructure the public education system to focus on education, critical thinking, and the arts at ALL public schools.

Created by D.B. on April 21, 2013

It is generally agreed the public school system is broken. It is highly focused on sports (the best students get an easy ride through required classes to ensure they stay on the team), most schools are missing critical thinking and arts classes, classes average 30 students per teacher, they are more concerned about uniform than intelligence, and statewide standardized tests are looked down upon by teaching professionals as a poor measure of aptitude nationwide. Many students are left unable to thrive in such weak environments. We are a failure as a developed country in all areas of education, when it should be easy to incentivize schools to improve and assist those that are failing and lacking funds.
