The education system in the US and throughout the world encourages summer vacations. Summer breaks however, result in summer learning loss; because of this, teachers across the nation have to spend extra time re-teaching materials to students.
We would like to ask President Obama to restructure summer vacations across the nation and break it down into smaller breaks throughout the year instead of a long summer break for students in elementary school, middle school and high school.
