Resume the carving of Mount Rushmore National Monument and to complete it as envisioned by the sculptor Gutzon Borglum.

Created by C.M. on December 04, 2014

The Mount Rushmore National Monument is a massive display of American ingenuity, and patriotism. Although the monument is beautiful as is, it is a tragedy that the monument was not finished as originally visioned by sculptor Gutzon Borglum. It ultimately fails to capture the full likeness of four of our greatest leaders. Borglum's plans incorporated torsos with period era clothing as well as a completed Hall Of Records. Not only would the continuation of this project boost American morale, and foster a sense of nationalism during an era of self-doubt and discontent, but the project would also provide an economic boost to the region as well as creating hundreds of jobs throughout the construction process. Funding can be raised through public and private donations. I.e. modern crowd funding.
