Recently, the Supreme Court ruled in Williams-Yulee v. Florida Bar that judges running for office cannot personally solicit funds for their campaigns. Technically, this reverses their own decisions in Citizens United v. Federal Election If you want to get even more technical, it reverses Buckley v. Valeo and restores the 1974 amendments to the Federal Election Campaign Act. Please direct the Federal Election Commission to act accordingly and restore its guidelines for campaign financing to the way they were before these cases were taken up by the Supreme Court.
