retain Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, and instead replace Andrew Jackson on the $20.

Created by M.C. on January 27, 2016

As the recent musical "Hamilton!" demonstrates, Alexander Hamilton is an important founding father who deserves to stay on the $10 bill.

Although it was recently decided to remove him to allow a woman to appear on a US currency bill, we request that he be retained as a stellar example of a successful American immigrant whose story is now inspiring history education everywhere.

Instead, we propose to remove Andrew Jackson, a controversial and more difficult historical figure from the $20 bill. In addition, this would provide a much more visible place for a woman to appear on US currency.
