The United States Postal Service is in the process of closing the distribution side of the Lower Silver Lake Road Post Office in Topeka, Kansas. Granted the front of the office were the Sales Associates and Post Office Boxes are located will stay open, however the individuals that have invested years in their career to sort and distribute mail to the citizens and Government offices of Topeka may be moved to other positions or even other office locations. Our capital city deserves and should proudly support maintaining this distribution center. We also want to maintain a positive employment status, as opposed to depleting the employment market in our capital city.
