Reteach Basic Civics to the American Public

We petition that the government reteach civics because as evident by many of the petitions here people do not understand that you can't secede, that signing a law written buy congress doesn't mean you can be impeached, the US government can't end a war that it isn't fighting, and so on. Many people also don't understand that you can't secede and the Declaration of independence doesn't say you can do that, it say that if a government becomes destructive of it's ends that it is the right of the people to abolish it. That was written and sent to King George to tell him that they had the right to leave British because they weren't represented and were being taxed. That doesn't apply in the current circumstances because we are represented by democratically elected representatives.
