Everyone knows women have the absolute right to avoid becoming a parent whether it be by contraception or abortion. In the case of unplanned pregnancy every woman has protection and can choose to continue her life as a mother or not. Men, however, do not have that freedom or equal right. This is not to say that any man should have a word in abortion by a mother or not for that is her womb and body. However, a man should have a say in whether he is ready to become a father. If a woman has a child despite the man not wanting to become a father, he can be forced by the state to financially provide for that child. A man therefore can be held responsible for choices he did not make and responsibilities he never intended to take on. Men need the right to choose as well as equal rights.
