This is a petition is based on an article by Allison Schrager.
Daylight Savings is a controversial practice that became popular in the 1970s with the intent of conserving energy. It has done little to no treatment for that whatsoever. We the people propose that Daylight Savings be abolished.
We also would like to take it a step further and abolish our standard time zone practice (Pst, Mst, Cst, & Est) and incorporate a new system of Western/Eastern times be put in place. For Example this would allow the time different between New York & Los Angeles to be split by one hour.
Time Zones adjustments would make communication in business within our nation, easier and more practical.
