Retire the electoral college, making the majority vote directly responsible for the winner of the election.

This petition seeks to retire the electoral college; allowing citizens' votes to count directly towards the election. The electoral college can be replaced with a server allowing all electronic votes to be displayed to the public in real time numbers. This voting system would eliminate the need for recounts and reduce the error margin. I also seek to retire the need for voters cards. The new system would allow you to scan your government issued ID to vote. I believe this would encourage more citizens to participate in voting.
