The American government should not support any government, or military, that transparently wishes to destroy or bring harm to the United States of America or the allies of the United States. The continued provision of military aide and equipment to such a regime is akin to supporting the causes of the regimes themselves. Given the wake of the instability in Egypt- following the change in leadership- providing fighter planes, F-16's, and ground fighting equipment, Abrams tanks, to the Egyptian military will only bolster a leadership core that parallels the destructive goals of the current Iranian leadership. This supply of equipment will only continue to poise the Middle East for certain and lengthy conflict.
