Retract Iowa's statehood, and transfer the title of 50th state to Puerto Rico.

Created by E.R. on November 09, 2014

It's a simple premise really, revoke Iowa's statehood and transfer that to Puerto Rico. The implications could be huge!

Think about it, we could turn Iowa into the prison state that Australia was intended to be until people discovered all the neat critters living there. You don't have this problem with Iowa though, the most fascinating animals in Iowa are deer and the occasional domesticated house-cat.

That's not the end, if we turn Iowa into a prison state, we can close every state penitentiary in America. America has a prison population of roughly 2,266,800 while Iowa has an area of 56,272 sq. miles which works out to 40.28 people per square mile, well below "crowded prisons" in many American prisons.

So lets band together America and remove America's least favorite state.
