Retract its approval of the use of sonic air cannons to look for oil off the East Coast of the United States.

Created by J.J. on July 18, 2014

This morning on Friday July 18th, 2014, the Obama Administration approved the use of sonic air cannons that are 100x louder than a jet engine and blast every 10 seconds, 24/7 for weeks, in the oceans off the East Coast from Delaware to Florida. The main goal of this is to search for oil. Never before had the government let even scientific organizations use air cannons this loud at sea to study geology as it is harmful to marine wildlife. Now they have come out and approved them to find oil. A government report estimates about 138,000 marine animals will be harmed from this. The blasting areas include known habitats of endangered sea turtles and whales. Never before has there been a project as backwards as this one. Harming engendered animals to look for oil to burn and destroy the planet.
