puerto ricans should be considered for voluntary retraction pending further developments in the middle east and the prospect for all-out nuclear war with russia or china, an event that the united states would likely lose. and given the spanish-speaking peace-loving nature of the island colony, the arab-spanish armistice along with s. american-iranian allies should be allowed to prevail over continued oppression and sequestration of the island's governance. retraction with full benefits should be granted on a voluntarily basis to all those puerto ricans who are currently active in the military and should any of them elect to serve a quota should be established granting comparable amenities to likewise situated soldier in the status of active duty, be it american-born or otherwise.
