Retrain America utilizing Unemployment Insurance, A National Job Policy is Required to meet Demands for High Tech Skills

Created by K.A. on June 12, 2012

Our petition is to require the Department of Labor to establish a National Policy for Retraining Americans through the use of Unemployment Insurance. The Department of Labor should not allow a mismatched patch work of each state developing policies which will in most cases not be in the interest of the nation.

Employers are unable to locate employees with the right knowledge, skills and abilities to meet demand for High Tech skill sets in manufacturing, technology, medical, finance and automation.

Workers collecting unemployment should be required to attend skill improvement or retraining classes offered by employers or community colleges in their area of expertise or in cases where skills are no longer marketable, retraining would be offered.
