Return the 2% Social Security Payroll Holiday and make it permanent. It is hurting the middle and working class families

Created by B.T. on January 16, 2013

The Social Security Payroll Holiday expired on January 1st, 2013. This is a strain on millions of families in the United States of America. Mr. President, you promised you would not raise taxes on the Middle Class, yet now my family income will have dropped over 2500 dollars by the end of the year. That money is used to buy groceries, pay gas, and other important expenses.

There is no need for the majority of the people to pay this tax if the system has worked for the past two years. If you need more funding for Social Security, then do other reforms and look for other wasteful spending elsewhere than taking it out of our working wage incomes. Most of us cannot afford expensive vacations you take, yet you just allowed another burden upon our backs. Keep your promises and lower our tax.
