A clause placed in the Patriot Act by James Sensenburner places the right to approve a leader for the ATF on the senate. There has not been an acting chairman in over 6 years. In order for the ATF to properly function, it needs a leader. Since the Senate will not take charge, I request that the right to choose the head of the ATF be reassigned to the president and vice-president.
