The United States needs to return the jobs and prosperity of the past for everyone. The infrastructure was designed in the early1900 and should be re-engineered. Our Military Services are set to release 200,000 soldiers and sailors into a workforce that will struggle to absorb them. The most productive society will soon be China if our policy remains the same.
I suggest that these returning servicemen be given the first shot at jobs developing a true technological leap into the future by designing new infrastructure. The modalities are only limited by the possible: elevated light rail with over traffic and under traffic, power and data transmission located on the light rail track, solar collectors in the track or imbedded in the structure, and test other good ideas.
