I am a supporter of Autonomous A.I.M. Lancaster, PA, and I am writing to express my concern about the human remains that were removed from site 36LA1100 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I feel very strongly that the remains and the burial items associated with the remains be turned over to the affiliated tribes so that the remains and other burial items associated with the human remains can be reentered with proper ceremonies and the respect and dignity that the human remains deserve.
I believe that the human remains should not be stored in cardboard boxes in the museum’s basement or even displayed like the bones of common animals in the museum. Please show the same courtesy that would be shown to other human ancestral remains and allow the affiliated tribes to be buried with proper ceremony a
