Congress should be working for the people, not to make profit for themselves so they can run campaigns to stay in office. Congress should not be able to make policies that only benefit themselves, while ripping off the general public. Congress should be held accountable for the mistakes they make, and have consequences for their actions. Congress should not be getting paid for doing nothing, or for holding back progress, and definitely not for holding the public hostage. Congress should not be able to get bonuses or raises for themselves without approval from general public. Basically, Congress is a part of our government, and should stop conducting themselves as if they are a for-profit corporation.
