We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Return the drinking age to 18

Created on November 17, 2016

Having a current drinking age of 21 is not working at all. There is still tons of unsupervised underground drinking at Universities. If drinking was legal, student would drink in public where they can be monitered and restricted by bartenders and police officers. In Europe, the drinking age is 18 and they have much safer roads than America. Due to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, raising the drinking age to 21 has not reduced car accidents. If teenagers drink at a younger age, they will learn to respect the drink.
