The United States was first formed when the 13 original colonies revolted against England and demanded freedom. After the war was won our founding fathers declared that the United States would be a free country ran by the people, and not by a government like the one they just fought. Today this is no longer the case anymore. The government is no longer seen as being by the people, but rather an individual ruling body over the people. The government has become separated from the people of the United States, and no longer represent us.
We ask that the government be "of the people, by the people, for the people" once again. That when someone thinks about the government they are thinking about the people. That the government is the people once again.
