Dear Mr. President,
You were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize at the beginning of your first term, ostensibly for promoting nuclear non-proliferation. To that end you presided over the hand-over of Ukraine's last stock of fissible uranium.
Now when Ukraine is invaded by Russia, your administration refuses to give even basic conventional military assistance to the formerly peaceful country, despite the undertakings given under the Budapest Memorandum. The lesson to your allies everywhere is clear. There is no alternative to having your own nuclear deterrent as America is untrustworthy.
In so doing, you have done more to undermine nuclear non-proliferation than any President in living memory. For these reasons we think it is appropriate you return the Nobel Peace Prize.
