This is in clear violation of our Consitution and the intentions of our forefathers who intended this to be a SECULAR nation. Had our forefathers intended ANY god to be what we "trust in", most assuredly they would have come up with this themselves. It was not until 88 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence that the religious right used their influence to replace our motto of "E Pluribus Unum" (Out of many, One) to the completely un-American motto that we have now.
I humbly request that you sign this petition to ask Congress to vote to return our motto to its original form and respect our forefather's intentions of keeping church and state separate. God belongs in the home, not in the halls of government.
