Veterans committee suicide or die of a drug overdose at a rate of 22 every day. The Senate and House of Representatives approved by a large margin allowing VA doctors to discuss with their patients the possible benefits of reducing opiates and replacing them with medial marijuana. This measure was included in the 2016 VA funding bill.
A small committee decided on their own to remove it from the final document and it was quickly voted on at midnight while the House was not in full session. Medical marijuana is legal for every one in certain states except veterans, who might be the ones who need it the most. Right now the Senate is delaying a final vote on the bill in an attempt to return medical marijuana access to veterans. If you broke them sending them to war you need to fix them.
