Return the right of electing the President and the Vice President to the people by removing the Electoral College.

The Electoral College system disconnects the people from directly electing their officials in Government. It is the right of every citizen to vote and in that aspect it should be the right of those votes to be the final determining factor of who is elected to office. Such was the case where four presidents ( Andrew Jackson 1824, Samuel Tilden 1876, Grover Cleveland 1888, and Al Gore 2000) were elected by the people, but that vote was overridden by the Electoral College. The right of electing a governing body was meant to and always should rest in the hands of the governed.
