Return tax rates to the days of Eisenhower.

Created by G.B. on May 02, 2014

Back in the days of Truman and Eisenhower, we paid off the cost of WWII and the Marshall Plan while building an infrastructure that led to 50 years of prosperity. Tax rates were high, but the payoff was great.

For the last thirty years we've been told if we let the rich keep more money, they'll use it to create more jobs. The jobs haven't materialized. Instead, the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.

In fact, our greatest period of prosperity since then was during the Clinton administration, following a tax hike by George H.W. Bush.; a hike his son gave back as part of one of the most profligate administrations in history.

Stop perpetuating inequality with a tax code designed to increase public debt and concentrate private wealth. Raise taxes now!
