2. We demand a return to the 25,000 signature threshold from the revised 100,000 threshold.
3. The White House will not stifle, muffle or silence We the People.
Whereas: Originally the We the People petition website set a minimum threshold of 25,000 signatures; and
Whereas: The popularity of the website has increased as We the People determined the Government to be unresponsive to requests by We the People; and
Whereas: The White House has raised the threshold for response to 100,000 signatures in reaction to the increase in popular use; and
Whereas: The White House seeks to stifle the voices of We the People.
Now Therefore: We the People petition the White House to return the threshold to the original 25,000 signature level.
