Return WWII veteran Louis Mynarcik to his home of 87 years, following the West, TX fertilizer plant explosion.

Created by A.W. on September 03, 2015

Louis Mynarcik is a Texas WWII veteran, with twelve years of service. He is a former resident of the West Rest Haven nursing home in West, Texas. He lived there four years prior to the fertilizer plant explosion in 2013 that destroyed his nursing home. Louis was able to live there using his VA benefits to cover the expenses.
Louis was displaced from his hometown of 87 years in the explosion; Louis cannot return due to the fact that the nursing home cannot meet the requirement of a minimum wage of $10.10. This isn’t the treatment that US veterans deserve.
I have taken care of Louis every day for two and a half years. I promised him in 2013, three days after the explosion, that I would see him back to his home. One way or another that is a promise that I intend to keep.
