Returning the Key to the Bastille to France In Memory of the Bastille Day Massacre. We Stand Free and United.

Created by A.M. on July 15, 2016

News has spread like wild fire across the world of the Bastille Day Massacre where as of writing this 84 people have been killed and more injured. To those who do not know, Bastille Day in France is their Fourth of July. The Bastille was a Prison where many political prisoners were held and it was stormed during the French Revolution. The key of this Prison was given as a gift to George Washington from his close French friend and ally Lafayette who was a key figure during the French Revolution and who also fought in the American Revolution. The key currently resides in Mount Vernon. I propose we return this key to France as a show that to this day we are allies; That we have been and will continue to be brothers and sisters in freedom. Terror does not scare us it only unites.
