Every Veteran in this country has an ID Card issued by the VA for medical treatment and other benefits. Veterans should be able to use this card at ANY medical facility at ANY time without prior approval by the VA medical system. Any fees involved by doing so will be paid to the treating facility in full by the VA. Veterans should not have to wait weeks or months to get an appointment at the VA medical centers or outlying clinics. Veterans should not have to drive for hours to get medical attention. There is currently a form of this but it still requires approval from the VA to get treatment from a non VA provider. Veterans have put their lives on the line for this country and are treated like third class citizens when it comes to health care. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE !!!!
