The Army's new tattoo policy is discrimination, pure and simple. Tattoos are much more accepted today and as an organization with as much respect as the United States Army, we should be able to keep up with today's culture. The repeal of don't ask don't tell was a massive step forward and DA now brings us back a decade. The fact that enlisted soldiers who have spent over a decade deploying are now ineligible to earn a commission due to having tattoos below the elbow and knee is unbelievable. How can an organization that beats it's personnel over the head with equality discriminate in the same breath?
