Reverse the Decision to Allow Royal Dutch Shell Company to Drill for Oil in the Arctic.

On Monday, May 14th, 2015, the Obama Administration gave conditional approval to the Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company to begin drilling for oil in the Arctic off of the Alaskan coast. As many scientific studies have shown, drilling in the Arctic will have disastrous consequences for our environment, not just within the United States, but for the entire planet. As an administration that claims to hold the issue of climate change as an important issue, this decision goes against your policy of taking "a series of ambitious steps to combat climate change," (as per whitehouse.gov). In fact, this decision will CONTRIBUTE to the devastating affects of climate change. That is why, in accordance with your policy, we request that you reverse the decision to allow Shell to drill for oil in the Arctic.
