The Department of Health and Human Services has announced a policy change which will allow tax money to be used (through Medicare) to fund gender reassignment surgeries.
We feel this is an inappropriate use of tax money and respectfully request that this decision be reversed immediately.
This is not a statement about the equality, or the civil rights of transgender individuals. This is simply a reflection of our strongly held view that tax money should not be used for this purpose.
