Reverse the decision to scrap the USS Saratoga and keep her on the donation list.

Created by D.D. on June 24, 2014

We, the sailors, family and friends of theThe USS Saratoga CV-60 proudly petition the White House to overturn the decision to scrap the USS Saratoga and return her to a donation status so we can make her into a floating museum that will continue to educate people for years to come.
The USS Saratoga (CV-60) was commissioned in 1956. The Sara served the United States in all extremes.
The sailors that served on her through the years consider the Sara as part of our family.
The Sara served proudly through Vietnam, The Cuban Missle Crisis, the strikes on Tripoli and first strikes in the Gulf War. Her history is a long and proud one.
Bureaucratic obstacles should not play a part in giving Super Sara the retirment that she deserves.
