According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration:
"Men who have had sex with other men, at any time since 1977 (the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the United States) are currently deferred as blood donors."
We believe that this restriction is discriminatory, and is depriving a large group of people from donating blood as well as depriving the FDA access to a potentially life-saving resource.
