Funding Cuts to CDC Prostate Cancer Activities in FY 2016 will negatively impact the organization's effectiveness to promote awareness and provide resources that provide the awareness to make early detection possible. Early detection and treatment at this stage is paramount to patient survivability, and early treatment is highly effective. However each year over a quarter of a million American Men succumb to the disease.
