The purpose of this petition is to request Pres Obama and VP Joe Biden to reverse announced support of gay marriage.
I just talked to the black Mother of a 2 year old boy for whom her priorities are getting good health care, access to education, and that tax cuts go to families.
In 2008 the issue completely divided the population of California with $100 million being spent on the election & 52 percent voting for marriage being between a man and a woman, and court cases begin taken afterwards in the courts for 4 years.
This issue is extremely divisive and the administration isn't focused on the much more important situation of poor working families like Alicia, just making another issue like abortion. Shame on you, Mr. President.
