On November 30, 2011 the Obama Administration reenacted the Wild horse slaughtering industry making it legal for mustangs and Wild horses to be taken to slaughter houses to be killed. The meat is sold to Mexico, Canada and other countries. This is an effort on the part of Cattlemen to remove this historical and natural resource from Government grazing land, so cattle can have more area for grazing. Currently horses are on less than 20% of government grazing land. There is no need for this other than making profits for the cattle industry.
