The "We the people" petition program started with a requirement of only 5,000 signatures in 2011 to receive a review and response. Then it went to 25,000 and now 100,000. It only has 30 days and unless you have 150 very socially active friends you may spend that long just trying to get it on the website, let alone get the needed signatures in time.
1. The 100,000 signatures should revert to 25,000.
2. The 30 days should begin once the 150 signatures are obtained.
3. A forum should be made available for users to discuss petitions and help each other find signatures.
