Reverse proposed increases in STEM visas.

Created by R.M. on February 14, 2013

Proliferation of STEM visas discourages the best and brightest grads of our own country's top K12 systems from pursuing STEM careers. It starts with F visas, which discourage our own top K12 graduates from applying to our country's top engineering programs. Proliferation and widespread abuse of other STEM visas artificially clamp lifetime earnings of STEM graduates. Our kids see that! Finally, there's no shortage of entrepreneurial Americans with great ideas for new businesses. What's lacking is the patient smart money to fund these ventures. Inventorship and entrepreneurship in STEM fields is driven not by country of origin but by engineering education. Let's restore a sustainable STEM culture in our country and reverse proposed increases in STEM visas.
