This petition calls on the Obama Administration to urge Congress to utilize its "Right to Revert" outlined in Sec. 110 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-58), which allows Congress to return to the DST schedule of "first Sunday of April" to "last Sunday of October." The current March-November schedule is a detriment to the lives and health of millions of Americans. When we change our clocks to observe DST, the sky remains dark as late as 7:30-8am local time in many parts of the country, hours after many Americans, including schoolchildren, begin their day. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 was designed to reduce energy consumption in the United States, and the DST schedule change has had no sizable effect on such. Revert to the old schedule and increase economic productivity.
